BIBLE

GOD

There is one God, personal, infinite, and eternally existing as three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is forever sovereign and owner, sustainer, and master of the universe.

JESUS

Jesus Christ is true God and true man, impeccable in his relationship to sin, was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, provided substitutionary atonement for lost man, and arose bodily from the grave.

HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is the person of the Godhead who in this present age convicts the world of sin,  righteousness, and judgment; who regenerates and baptizes into the Body of Christ those who believe; and who indwells and seals them unto the day of redemption.

The Holy Spirit is the Divine teacher who guides believers into all truth.  The Holy Spirit imparts to believers spiritual gifts for the purpose of maturing believers, ministry, and building up the Church.

Tongues are not necessary or required for the growth and maturity of the believer, the Scriptures being all-sufficient, therefore, Freedom neither endorses, promotes, or teaches the practice of sign gifts.

CREATION

God directly created the universe from no pre-existing substance in six twenty-four hour days.  We reject both naturalistic and theistic evolution.

SATAN

Satan is a fallen, created personality, opposed to all that is holy and destined for eternal punishment.

MAN

Man was made in God’s own Image and fell into sin in Adam and is now a sinner both by nature and choice, and can be restored to God’s favor only by God’s provision in Christ as applied by the Holy Spirit.

SALVATION

Salvation in Christ is God’s only provision for man’s justification which includes both pardon from sin and the gift of eternal life.

Salvation comes to man only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ apart from any human merit or effort.

CHURCH

All those who have experienced salvation are members of the “Church which is His body”, and thus are eligible for water baptism and membership in the local church.

ORDINANCES

Water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are two ordinances of the church.

ETERNAL SECURITY

Every believer is eternally secure, being “kept by the power of God”.

John 10:28,30;

RESURRECTION

All persons will experience resurrection, believers to a state of eternal joy and unbelievers to eternal punishment in the lake of fire.

RETURN OF CHRIST

The Lord Jesus Christ will return in a visible, personal, and glorious manner for His redeemed church, Old Testament saints, and all who profess Him as Savior and Lord.

GOVERNMENT

Civil government is by Divine appointment.  Government authority should be honored wherein it does not call for violation of Scripture.
